IT’S NOT THE LONGEST GAME TITLE EVER, BUT IT’S CLOSE!

It’s another slow week for games. But, if you’re a fan of obscure Japanese RPGs involving a guy who summons demons to do his bidding and save the world from an even bigger demon, it’s your time! This week, (*deep breath*) Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner 2: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. King Abaddon (its friends call it Devil Summoner 2,) hits the stores. The big draw of this title, aside from the cool story and gameplay, is the plush version of the character Raihou from the game that comes packed in it. It’s got that “creepy-cute” vibe going for it. I have to hand it to Atlus. There aren’t many companies left who will do a pack in on a PS2 game, especially such a niche title. (Not to mention a LONG title.) They do have an interesting sense of humor. On April 1st, they posted a video that was supposedly from pirates who had hijacked the shipment of the plushy pack-in. It was an April Fools’ Joke, sure, but it still shows that while they take their games seriously, they don’t have to take themselves so seriously. If you’re a fan of RPGs, you should definitely check it out. And, just because I want to fill an extra line, I’m going to repeat the title in acronym form: SMT: DS2: RKVKA.
