FREE THE OPPRESSED AND DESTROY STUFF TOO!

Red Faction Guerrilla’s premise is simple: free the oppressed. Of course, while you’re doing that, also feel free to destroy, pillage and do lots of other crazy stuff too. And now players will have a chance to do these things against each other for some pretty cool prizes at Play N Trades around North America starting July 11, 2009.
The game has some seriously cool features, including the new Geo-Mod Technology 2.0, which essentially allows you to blow up everything! The game also heavily emphasizes the use of guerrilla tactics (hence the word ‘guerrilla’ in the name), allows you to explore (and lay waste to) Mars and lets you stockpile tons of new weapons. Also, Red Faction Guerrilla can be played with up to 16 players online!
The tournament starts locally at Play N Trade July 11. From there, winners will move on to the national round July 18 and the international round July 19. Prizes include a life-size hammer, which is a key weapon within the game, as well as wallpaper for every participant in the tournament to be downloaded on Xbox 360 or PS3 platforms. Other prizes will be provided by THQ, the game’s publisher.
