Since PlayStation 3’s release, gamers have cried out for an RPG for this amazing system. Not just any RPG, they want an RPG experience. Something revolutionary. Something new and bold. At long last, their day has arrived. Ok not quite yet, but soon (October 6, 2009 to be exact.)
Demon’s Souls is not just another RPG. Far from it. The landscape is harsh, the task unforgiving. Death is inevitable but not final. The enemies are brutal and unlike any you’ve ever encountered. You will have to make your decision whether to shoot, smash, or cast magic on those you encounter en route to your destination.
The game itself is open-ended, meaning there is no ‘right way.’ Progress as you like, build the character you want, and make things happen at your own pace. But beware.
Demon’s Souls has a networking system, the likes of which have never been dreamed of. Until now. Now, players can leave each other hints, replay death scenes, revive the dead, or wreak utter havoc on each other. You’ve never seen anything like it. In fact, nobody has because this is brand new stuff!
When it comes down to it, if you’re an RPG fanatic who needs something more than what’s already out there, this is for you. Even if you’re not a fanatic but are simply looking for a new challenge, a game unlike one you’ve ever seen, this is for you. Demon’s Souls will be released October 6, 2009 but is available for preorder now. As a pre-order bonus, buyers will receive a 40 page art book and soundtrack CD. Also available is a deluxe edition, which includes a 150+ page strategy guide and collectible slipcase. Check your local store for more details!
